Dekalb CASA hosts their signature fundraising event, 50 Men Who Cook to raise money to support CASA’s work of advocating for abused children who have experienced abuse or neglect in DeKalb County. This event is held annually in August at NIU’s Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center.

The evening featured 50+ men from the community who brought their favorite dish for guests to taste—guests then voted for their favorite in each category! Everyone at Balmoral is proud of Chef Joe Schroeder for winning People’s Choice Award and second place for Professional Chef with the dish Fat Bastard Belly of Pork.

Guests enjoyed the opportunity to savor delicious dishes, and have fun with entertainment and raffle prizes, all for a good cause.
