Line cook

Balmoral Restaurant is looking for a Line Cook! Join a fun work environment while earning competitive pay. Be a part of an award winning restaurant and join our team. We are looking for a Line Cook that can prepare our signature Scottish dishes using our recipes and help keep the kitchen running smoothly. Some of their key duties and responsibilities include:
-Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
-Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
-Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
-Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

Responsibilities
-Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed.
-Keeps the dish area free of clutter and organized.
-Sets up dish stations, including dish-machines and sinks.
-Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
-Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
-Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries. -Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
-Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
Sous Chef
Full time
Balmoral Restaurant is seeking a well-rounded Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will manage back of house operations, will be an effective and respected leader to their staff. This individual must be knowledgeable in all aspects of food and labor costs, and a system oriented individual.
The owner and proprietor of Balmoral has created this Chef driven restaurant from the ground up to produce excellent service, authentic scratch Scottish cooking, and a one of a kind experience. The kitchen has been designed with a “chefs dream” in mind with nothing but the best equipment and tools to create fantastic Scottish cuisine. From the state-of-the-art kitchen to the Prince Albert china and crystal glasses, this restaurant has won 21 awards the first year of opening.
Qualified candidates will possess the below listed areas of skill, expertise, attitude and behavior:
-Must be Serve Safe certified.
-Strong team mentality
-Maintain the schedule for kitchen staff
-Manage relationships with distributors and resolve issues with vendors promptly
-Familiar with scratch baking, butchery and cooking of game birds, rabbit, and venison.
-Not required but preferred Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts
-5+ years’ experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant
-2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
-Must be available weekends, holidays and possible weekdays
